Ok, I got it

Hello I'm Clare, the teacher, creator of this site and awful speller :) I'm a 27 year old, qualified Disco Freestyle Dance Teacher (A.I.S.T.D ADFP) who has always loved street dance. I am of course a CRB checked and insured as well as being one of the original members of Street Dance International.

Street Dance International are the official association which governs Street Dance in the UK. I am now on their committee dedicated to moving Street Dance forward in the UK.

I have danced for years myself as a Disco Freestyle
Champion and even danced at and won the first
Street Dance competitions at Disco events. Even then,
I liked helping others so it made sense to become a
teacher rather than continuing to compete and
perform myself.

I have been in a number of shows, won championships etc but I prefer to boast about the achievements of my pupils instead (Won countless UK championship titles, Qualified for World & European Championships 2008 and LOADS more in 2009 – Fast & Furious Launch Dance Clash - 2 dance finalists on Disney Channel - Big Dance - Danced at London Olympia and Astoria etc) I just love teaching!

I also attend other dance schools as well as local schools (including The Priory, Lessons Hill, Manor Oak, Beaverwood) to put on workshops or assist with choreography for shows and events. As well as all this, I often put on free sessions for (and our dancers   perform at) local charity events, Bromley council, mytime, the BIG DANCE, Harris Hospice Care, schools etc to assist with events and encourage young people to get involved with something new and prove that exercise does not have to be boring ... I just love it all! :)

I am soooooo proud of my dancers and the way they have all progressed and improved - it makes it all so worth while!

As a teacher I hope to inspire dancers to want to progress and be the best they can be. With the right encouragement, anyone at Class can become a good dancer and more confident person

I try to run my school with a fun and friendly atmosphere as I want everyone involved to enjoy it as much as possible. All I ask is that we are a supportive school, work to the best of our ability and are there to cheer on each other!

I am always looking for opportunities for the crew to perform and enjoy themselves and of course show off their skills :) We have done various photoshots, modelling events and fashion shows as well.

We also have various guest teachers so you dont get bored me seeing me all the time :) Including the brilliant B-Boy Kayzar who has put on some fantastic breaking workshops for us. I can proudly say that FLAWLESS (previous UK & WORLD Champions and more recently seen on Britians Got Talent) came down to do a day of workshops for us in May 2009 and our next one is with another fantastic World Champion, Marc Cameron. Keep an eye on the NEWS page for details of future workshops and guest teachers
