I would like to say a special and BIG congratulations to Georgia Powell, 12, Ashanti Osei-Mansfield, 12, and Akai Osei-Mansfield, 10, for landing a part in the new Pied Piper show with Boy Blue!! It is a FANTASTIC show and I am really proud we were offered the oppertunity to even audition!
These 3 dancers, not only made it through the final round but have been cast in the show which is on at the Barbican Theatre from December onwards. It is a fantastic oppertunity for them and I am very very proud of them all.
Maajan aged just 6, also made it through to the final stage of auditions and shocked everyone with how well such a young dancer did and it was only her age that stopped her being cast too...Next year! :)
Lets not also forget the rest of the ever hardworking and fantastic Class Crew!! You are all fabulous - keep up the good work and your oppertunity may be just around the corner!
Love you ALL loads xxxxxx
Class hit the big screen!
As you may know, Class were asked to take part in the new 3D Streetdance Movie with George Sampson, Flawless and Diversity. Our dancers were lucky enough to be selected to be in the film based on their fantastic dancing and 3 of our dancers where given additional scenes to do...

Everyone danced soo well in each of their groups for solos, breaking, pairs and teams - in which we won both our sections! Well done everyone!! You were amazing!!
Then we held out summer school. It was 3 days of learning and laughter and I am sooo proud of how hard you all worked! From beginer to championship dancer - you all learnt something! Well done - looks like you had a blast!! Check out more pix page for more pix
Then, most exciting of all, I can finally confirm that Class Crew Competitiors will appear dancing in the new Street Dance MOVIE. Its the first British one to ever be made and shot entirely in 3D! All the big names are involved from Kenrick's choreography to roles from Diversity, George Sampson and Class Crew Favourite, FLAWLESS! Class Crew and Team England at the European Championships
We have just got back from Slovenia for this years official European Hip Hop, Break dance and Electric Boogie Championships. We had an amazing time and the whole of the England team danced fantastic. 28 Countries attended sending their top qualifying dancers to represent their countries. Only 4 of our dancers attended but represented the school brilliantly. Tegan & Chelsey (both aged just 8) danced in the Childrens group with over 90 other under 12s with Tegan placing 55th and Chelsey getting through to an amazing 36th!! Georgia and Eve danced in the U16s with over 140 international compeitiors. Eve placed 101th and Georgia 61st (highest placing from Uk dancers) tied with several others. In pairs again there were almost 100 compeitiors and Georgia and Eve placed an amazing 49th and really Wooped it in the break dancing placing joint 22nd! Brilliant!!! England claimed numerous places and we would like to congratulate the whole England Team including our little stars xxx

CLASS OF 2009: STREET DANCE SUMMER SCHOOL/WORKSHOP DAYS
On Wednesday 12th, Thursday 13th and Friday 14th August 2009 we are proud to announce our summer school is back and better than ever!! This year the event will be held at the White Hall, York Rise, from 10 am to 4pm each day with a performance for parents on Friday 14th August.
This is open to everyone in the school as well as your friends and families and new comers. The workshops will cater for all abilities but as these are full days I would not recommend that dancers aged 6 and under attend. It should be really fun and over the 3 days, you will learn a mixture of Street Dance styles with an array of fantastic teachers. With so many influences everyone, from complete beginner to championship, will learn something!
The children will need to be at the hall for 10am each day and parents will need to return at 4pm to collect them. Please rest assured your children will be supervised at all times and only CRB checked adults will be in the hall during the day. On the Friday the performance will take place at 3:40 and you can take the children with you as soon as they are finished.
There is no strict dress code as long as the children are comfortable, cool and able to move freely. Trainers, dance shoes or converse style boots must be worn. For the breakdance sessions you may need a hoddie, a woolie hat, knee protection and gloves. You will also need to bring plenty to drink and a packed lunch each day.
If you would like to attend, you must book in before the date to guarantee your place. Please see Clare for prices and note additional discounts are available for all dancers take part for more than one day and those who pay ‘in advance’
I am also offering a discount to all families with siblings who would like to attend (the more siblings the bigger the discount).
If you would like to attend, please reserve your place in the events section of the book asap. Places are very limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
Please also ensure we have a completed registration form for you and if you may be working, additional emergency contact details may need to be provided.
It seems set to be a fantastic 3 days and I am really looking forward to it! I already have an array of dance teachers and am in talks with a graffiti art teacher and MC to ensure you all learn some new street skills :)
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me xx

Georgia and Eve - Disney Channel
As most of you know, Georgia and Eve are pairs partners
from our school. They entered the My School Musical
Talent Competition on the Disney Channel. From thousands
and thousands of dancers, singers and performers
their video was selected and showed to thousands of
people on the internet....after they counted the votes,
they girls were selected to be in the top 3!
They were taken to London for the week to film their show, rehearse,
be made over, have their photos taken, nose around the
Disney studios etc - (sounds like great fun) as well as
receiving a big bag of prizes each!
A couple of weeks later, their show was aired and they were brilliant!
Everyone that saw it said they should have won, but top 3 (from LOADS)
and the opportunity of being on TV was more than they ever wished for
and at aged 11 & 12 not many dancers can say that!
The girls were brilliant and have taken it all in their stride but should be very very proud of themselves - I am very, very, very proud of you and the way you came across and of course danced! And so is everyone from the school and area! Well Done girls!! Keep up the hard work!! xxx
